Greetings from the Panama Canal! Cruise prices dropped significantly this year, making it possible for us to take a long 12 day trip from Ft.Lauderdale to Los Angeles, via the Panama Canal.

Smokey Mtns 2009

We finally get to go on a short trip, this time up to the Smokey Mtns near Gatlinburg, TN. We rented a cabin for the week and traveled all around the area. Visited various sites in the Smokies and Blue Ridge Parkway. Did a bit of cave exploring and horse back riding into the mountains. Beautiful weather the entire time.

All I get to do is watch The Travel Channel.

But the dry spell is about to break, at least a little, with a week in the Smoky Mtns coming soon.
